In addition to kits and supplies, we offer emergency preparedness training and instructional seminars that focus on the individual and how they can be a hero for themselves, their families and others by being ready and organized before the disaster strikes.

Prepare to Be Your Own Hero™
This class answers all your questions about who, what, where, when and why you need emergency kits. This is the nuts and bolts of emergency readiness.

Class Length: from 30 minutes to 2 hours

Agenda:

  • Why prepare
  • Consumer Awareness
  • Evacuation kits vs. shelter in place kits
  • Items in evacuation and shelter in place kits
  • Water storage
  • Sanitation
  • Office and car preparedness
  • Family plans and reunification plans

Cooking in the Dark



Class Length: Regularly 2 hours ( class time can be adjusted to meet the needs of the group)

Cooking in the Dark Agenda:

  • Living comfortably without running water and electricity
  • Myths and facts about Water Storage /Purification
  • Safe long term Light options
  • Cooking options inside/outside
  • Meal planning and food storage for at least 2 weeks
  • Shelter-in-place procedures
  • Because of the size of the class, the instructor will be demonstrating the cooking methods. This is NOT an individual cooking class.

Teachers As First Responders
This class is offered to ALL educators working with children preschool through 12th grade. In an emergency, staff members will be the first to respond to the needs of the children and themselves.

Class Length: 30 minutes

Agenda:

  • What kinds of emergencies can schools encounter?
  • Tips regarding supplies already in a classroom that can be used in an emergency
  • Personal items that staff need to have at school incase of a prolonged stay at school
  • How to organize a readiness kit that does not need to be rotated for 5 years
